DR. ANH
Dr Anh Nguyen is another one of our practicing doctors here at 7 Day Dental and she is a University of California, Irvine graduate. She attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and graduated Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1997. For the past twelve years Dr Nguyen has lived in the county of Sacramento and recently relocated to Orange County to be closer to her family. Dr Nguyen strongly believes in comprehensive care and preventative care with an emphasis in early childhood dental disease intervention. In February 1997, due to lack of access of dental care for underserved children six years and under across the state, Dr Nguyen has participated in an extensive training sponsored by the California Dental Association Foundation and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry through a Pediatric Oral Health Access Program. She enjoys working with the children and share with parents the ways to improve their oral health. Dr Nguyen looks forward to reconnect with the new community she is living in and would like to participate and volunteer for children in need. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, exploring new trails in her new community, and participating in her son’s school activities.
DR. TRAN
Dr. Lisa Tran earned her doctorate degree in 1994 at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is married and has kids. Aside from dentistry, she also has a passion for interior design.
DR. CABRERA
Dr. Arthur Cabrera is one of our practicing doctors here at 7 day dental. Not only is he a dedicated and talented doctor but he uses his skill and excellent communication skills to educate and care for his patients with the utmost attention. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Cabrera attended San Jose State University, University of Colorado, Boulder, and USC School of Dentistry and graduated June 1976. He grew up in San Jose, California as well as Boulder, Colorado. Aside from practicing dentistry Dr. Cabrera enjoys bicycling (Tour de France; every year in July), and reading everything that comes across him. His family consists of his wife of 34 years, and 3 sons. The eldest is a grade school teacher, another is a police officer and the youngest is a veterinary technician. Dr. Cabrera is also the proud owner of 4 female boxers which he loves dearly. Dr. Cabrera philosophy on life is that life should be kept simple, deal with life on a daily basis, and focus on the positive. We are proud to have Dr. Cabrera as part of our dental team and look forward to continue working with him and his patients.
DR. HOANG
Dr. Christine Hoang is another one of our doctors and she is a University of California, Los Angeles graduate. She graduated from this prestigious institution in 2001 and has been practicing dentistry since then. Dr. Hoang grew up in Vietnam and is bilingual in both English and Vietnamese. Her hobby consists of traveling to new and exciting places as well as reading works that spark her interests. Dr. Hoang’s family life is made up of her husband and their son. Dr. Hoang believes that the key to life success and enjoyment is to just be happy and enjoy life to its fullest. Dr. Hoang is an excellent and we enjoy the environment she creates for our staff and her patients.
DR. EVAN
Dr Evan Paul Georgieff completed his study of dentistry at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 1990. Dr Evan is extremely talented and has an amazing ability to perform his dental treatments with virtually no pain. He is certified to perform oral surgery, dental implants, and also practiced while in the U.S. Navy. Dr Evan is single and the father of two children, Olivia and Wesley. He enjoys the thrill and intensity of surfing, power lifting, and oral surgery. Dr Evan is passionate about his work and he genuinely loves the skill and art that is incorporated into it. Currently he is training for the “Farmers Walk” which is an event in the Celtic Strong Man Contest where he will have to carry 150lbs in each hand and walk through an obstacle course.
DR. LE
Dr. Chuck Le is the founder of 7 Day Dental and is a recognized leader in the field of dentistry. He immigrated to the United States in the 1970s to attain the American Dream through dedication, effort, and hard work. Following an intensive academic education in high school, Dr. Le entered the prestigious School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC), where he participated in the first accelerated Doctorate of Dentistry program, and in 1989, after only six years, he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. While this marked the beginning of his remarkable career, it in no way signaled the end of his education or training.
Since opening the 7 Day Dental in 1990 in Anaheim, California, Dr. Le has continued to keep abreast of odontological advances made through continued professional development and education, which is no mean feat considering the scope of the rapidly developing new procedures and techniques evolving in dentistry. In addition to his hundreds of hours of postgraduate specialized education, Dr. Le completed a three-year residency program at Esthetic Professionals in Woodland Hills in California, from 2002 to 2005, where he studied, practiced, and developed his expertise in esthetic dentistry. More recently, Dr. Le completed a one-year residency in implantology at the Boston Dental Institute where he qualified under the exacting examination and program guidelines to become a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) as a certified dental implantologist. His training, his experience, and his pioneering efforts in esthetic dentistry have also made Dr. Le a specialist and a master in the areas of porcelain veneers and dental implants. Dr. Le’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Le is also a noted business leader of the Anaheim community. In 2006, the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce awarded 7 Day Dental the Business of the Year Award, and in 2010 conferred the esteemed Business Person of the Year Award upon Dr. Le himself for not only his business achievements, but also for his professional and personal contributions to society. Dr. Le has also received recognition from Top Docs L.A. (http://www.topdocla.com) for his outstanding achievement.
For several years, Dr. Le has dedicated his resources, skills, and time to working with organizations and causes that help the less fortunate, as well as youth development and wellbeing, both here and internationally. His philanthropy has included his contribution to the disaster relief efforts after the 2004 tsunami in Thailand, restoration efforts after major conflagrations in Vietnam, and the donation of proceeds from new-patient referrals to the ongoing humanitarian efforts to help the victims of the Fukushima, Japan nuclear plant catastrophe. Previously, Dr. Le donated 20,000 toothbrush kits to the earthquake victims in Haiti.
Here at home, Dr. Le spearheaded a team of 14 oral surgeons and 100 volunteers to launch the first annual “Dentists Pulling From the Heart Day” on February 13, 2011, a locally unprecedented collaboration of dental health care providers who performed free extractions and other treatment for the indigent and those who cannot afford to pay for basic dental care, in order to relieve their pain from neglected teeth and to raise awareness of the importance of good dental care. Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen personally recognized 7 Day Dental and the team for the selfless donation of their time and care they made to the community to alleviate those suffering, particularly children.
In fact, Dr. Le’s love for children and his concern for their well-being has become an even higher priority in both his professional and his personal life since becoming a father himself, and he continues to provide sponsorships to the Y.M.C.A., as well as being a regular benefactor to several local youth sports teams. Dr. Le is also actively involved with the youth development program Learning for Life, established by the Boy Scouts of America, which prepares and develops today’s boys and girls into tomorrow’s adults, citizens, and leaders.
What says the most about Dr. Chuck Le, however, can be told by his patients who have come to trust in and rely upon Dr. Le for their dental care. Regardless of a patient’s financial status, Dr. Le believes that they deserve the best treatment available, and he takes the necessary time with each patient to educate them and explain their options to them, because it is his personal and professional conviction that every one of his patients deserves only the very best. While some people may have misgivings about visiting the dentist, when the dentist is not only among the best in the field but also a caring and compassionate professional, the difference is remarkable, and this best describes Dr. Chuck Le.
DR. TU
Dr. Tu Quynh Nguyen is an expert in all areas of general dentistry, in addition to cosmetic dentistry. She graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago in 2001. As a person who both professionally and personally enjoys learning and who strongly believes that there is always more to learn in life, Dr. Tu later earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of California in Irvine. She has also augmented her formal education by completing Boot Camp and Doctor Leadership, both intensive professional development training courses. Her professional clinical training includes conscious sedation, patient management, and the relatively new Invisalign dental procedure. Dr. Tu enjoys the relationships she develops with her patients through providing them with the highest degree of care possible, an experience she considers rewarding and which her fluency in English, French and Vietnamese, with a working vocabulary of Spanish, facilitates. Her combination of people skills, perspicacity, and professional acumen has instilled in her an openness and willingness to greet life’s challenges with enthusiasm, and to provide the very best of care for her patients.
DR. SHEN
Dr. Jim Shen is a graduate of USC, 1989. He is an excellent dentist who strives for perfection. Patients love his gentleness and kindness. Our staff love him for his caring for everyone around him. His two favorite things to do when he is not providing dental care to our patients is eating and sleeping
DR. CAPIRAL
Dr. Maria Capiral practiced for 8 1/2 years in San Diego. She moved here in Orange County in 2008 to be closer to her family and friends. After she had her son, she joined 7 Day Dental in February 2008. Dr. Capiral and her husband Ernie enjoy travelling and doing outdoor activities. They are both involved in music and are active members of their church’s choir. When she is not working she spends quality time with her son. Dr. Capiral likes listenning to her patients’ needs and desires so she can educate them and help them attained optimal dental health and have beautiful smiles.
DR. LEM
Dr. Peter Lem graduated in 1983 from Northwestern. He enjoys doing regular cardio excercise, is married, and has children. His goal as a dentist is to always be aware of current advances in the dental profession and share that knowledge with his colleagues. Dr. Lem creates interpersonal relations with his patients in order to understand their dental needs better.
DR. KIM
Dr. Raphael Kim graduated from School of Dentistry, Seoul National University in Seoul and served Korean Air Forces for three & half years in Korea. After moved into California, US, he went to USC School of Dentistry and also graduated from law school of Lincoln University and got JD degree. Dr. Kim has been practicing dentistry for 30 years.
He is married to a very dedicated wife, who was a CEO of non-profit health organization for 15 years and resigned to finish her doctoral degree in USC. They have only one 32 year-old son. His hobbies are Ballroom dancing, writing essays and travel. He is also an amateur Violinist. He is a devouted catholic and has been serving as a catechist in church.
He loves teaching and has been teaching students in USC Dental school for 19 years.
Specialists Doctors
DR. BURRELL
Dr. Frank Joseph Burrell was born and raised in northern California. He attended local schools there and graduated from U. C. Davis with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1971. He graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1975 and practiced general dentistry for 3 years in northern California. In 1978 he moved back to southern California and restricted his practice to Orthodontics. He was and associate doctor in a large orthodontic practice for 7 years and then a partner in the same practice for 7 more years.
DR. SHIN
Dr. Richard C. Shin graduated from the Dental School at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. He then further trained in a three-year orthodontics residency program at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He practiced orthodontics in Central Valley California before settling in Southern California.
Dr. Richard C. Shin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and belongs to the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. In his spare time, Dr. Richard C. Shin enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves travelling, reading and playing the guitar.
DR. KUPFERMAN
Dr. Steven Kupferman is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He maintains a private practice in Century City, Ca (www.CenturyOMS.com). Dr. Kupferman is one of the dental specialists who performs complicated dental and oral surgery. He has a great deal of experience in dental implant surgery and complex wisdom tooth removal. Dr. Kupferman has a private practice in Los Angeles where he performs major corrective jaw surgery, TMJ surgery, and surgery for obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Kupferman is extremely well-trained having attended dental school at Harvard University and Medical School, Internship and Surgical Residency at UCLA. Dr. Kupferman is fluent in English and Spanish.
DR. BARAJAS
Dr. Gilbert Barajas is a highly talented dentist specializing in periodontics. He attended California State University of Los Angeles for four years, majoring in biochemistry. From there, he continued his education, graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the prestigious School of Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco, returning to Southern California to earn his Certificate of Periodontics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
DR. CHEN
Dr. James Chen graduated in 1997 and specializes in endodontics. He enjoys fishing and traveling. Dr. Chen is married and has two sons. His goal is to practice dentistry at a satisfying level. He is set apart from other dentists because he works at the microscopic level of dentistry.
DR. MARFATIA
Dr. Rabin Marfatia is our Pediatric specialist. He graduated from the School of Dentistry from the University of Southern California School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in molecular cell biology from the University of California Berkeley. He has several years of experience working with pediatric dental cases. Dr. Marfatia’s goal is to provide dental care for adolescents and make their experience at our dental office as comforting, educational, and as fun as possible.
DR. MONIQUE LE
Dr. Monique Le obtained both her Bachelors in Science and her medical degree at UCI. She did her residency in nternal medicine at St. Mary’s medical center in Long Beach, California. She then went on to do her Anesthesia residency at UCLA Medical center because she really wanted to just focus on one patient at a time. She has been practicing anesthesia at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena for the last 13 years before relocating to Orange Coutny. She is currently on staff at Orange Coast Memorial hospital, as well as Irvine Regional Medical Center and many local surgery centers. She is board certified in internal medicine as well as anesthesia. She is a member of the America Society of Anesthesiologists as well as a member of the California Society of Anesthesiologists. She has also been certified by the California Dental Association in General Anesthesia.
DR. FLORES
Dr. Julio Flores graduated from UCLA Medical School. He is borad certified in Anesthesiology as well as Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is also certified by the California Dental Association to perform general anesthesia in the denal office. He has been practicing Cardiac Anesthesia for the last 12 years. He is currently on staff at Irvine Regional Medical Center in Irvine, California. He is fluent in both Spanish and English. He is comfortable with both the complicated cardiac patient as well as the healthy dental patient.
DR. ARCE
Dr. Jorge E. Arce, D.D.S. is one of our excellent oral surgeons and implantologists on staff. Having been in practice for over 12 years, his experience and his technique, as well as his charm is what makes him such a valuable member to the staff. Receiving his Degree in Oral Sugery and Implantology from the Colombian Dental College (Colegio Odontolóico Colombiano) and then furthering his education to receive a degreen in Degree in Doctor in Dental Sugery (D.D.S) from the Universidad Autonoma de Manizales, Dr. Arce is extremely qualified. Dr. Arce is also a member of the AmericanAcademy of Implant Dentistry (ADID), the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), as well as the ADA – CDA- and WLADS. Dr. Arce is fluent in English and Spanish and is happy to assist anyone that would need oral surgery.
DR. KEUROGHLIAN
Dr. Apel Keuroghlian is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon that graduated from UCLA. His career began with a biomedical/biochemical engineering degree from the University of Southern California, where he graduated among the top of his class. Throughout his undergraduate education in engineering, Dr. Keuroghlian researched the effects of the different surface characteristics of implants and their integration with bone. He later decided to further his education by obtaining a dental degree from USC. While at the USC School of Dentistry, Dr. Keuroghlian received several endowed scholarships for academics/research including the California Dental Association research scholarship and academic scholarship as well as the Class of 1964 endowed scholarship. He once again graduated amongst the top of his class. Dr. Keuroghlian truly enjoyed the surgical aspect of dentistry while in dental school and decided to further his education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCLA which includes a Medical Degree from UCLA as well as a internship certificate in general surgery. He currently holds a faculty position at UCLA as well. Dr. Keuroghlian truly enjoys what he does and is committed to enhancing patient care by integrating his engineering, dental and surgical skills and education. He hopes to pursue research in the future, but is dedicated to patient care as his first priority. Dr. Keuroghlian is fluent in both English and Armenian. When not working, Dr. Keuroghlian enjoys travelling, skiing, playing basketball or just hanging out with his friends.
Hygienists
LINDA MCLAUGHLIN
Linda McLaughlin is a graduate of the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where she earned her degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is a highly skilled and talented professional, whose enthusiasm and outgoing personality make her a joy to be around. She is especially popular with her many patients, with whom she fosters a caring and considerate experience each time they visit the office. Linda also educates and informs her patients about good dental hygienic practices and gum disease prevention, as well as answering their questions about implants, inlays, Invisalign, onlays, porcelain veneers, and other advancements in dentistry. Linda’s leisure time is spent with her husband and three beautiful daughters. Her recreational activities include boating, skiing, shopping, and tennis. Linda is fluent in English and speaks some Spanish.
CHRISTIAN MAZILU
Christian Mazilu graduate from San Joaquin Valley College private Dental Hygiene school with honors in 2007. I enjoy working with people and seek to treat my patients the way I want to be treated. My goal is to provide the highest quality standard of care and look to advance in the science of dental hygiene. As a Christian God is the most significant part of my life. I am also family oriented, love to spend time with my wife and baby. I also enjoy snow boarding, golf and tennis.
