I chose to be a dental hygienist because I wanted to be in a position where I could change lives for the better. I enjoy having the ability to share my knowledge and educate patients about dentistry, as well as providing in-depth treatment plans tailored specifically to each person’s wants and needs. My extensive knowledge of dental treatments allows me to help guide any patient to obtain that perfect smile.
I truly enjoy meeting every single one of my patients, and love being involved in their lives not just as their hygienist, but also as a friend in life. I know that many people have a phobia of going to the dentist, and I have made it my goal to make a trip to the dental office an educational and rewarding experience. I have found that when I thoroughly explain to the patient how oral disease processes work, and which tools and tools and techniques can be utilized to fight these diseases, they are much more enthusiastic about taking good care of their teeth.
Outside of my career, I live an active lifestyle and enjoy snowboarding, lifting weights at the gym, and yoga. I also enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures.
I have three children: a son 25 who currently resides in Japan and is getting married in October, a 22 year old daughter who is applying to nursing school in the Fall and a 16 year old son who will be a senior in high school this coming school year. I also have a rescued dog and cat who never fail to wake me on time for work. For fun, in all my spare time, I love to scuba dive, go the beach, punish myself at the gym, sew, read, write, travel, and be with my family and friends.
Dan started her career as a dental assistant while still in high school. She has worked as an assistant for several dentists in the local area while continuing her education and earning her Dental Hygiene degree. As a Registered Dental Hygienist at 7 Day Dental, Dan is able to put her years of experience to good use providing high quality professional care to our patients. She always values her time with patients to provide them oral hygiene education and make recommendations as to what products or devices to use at home. She is always ready to listen and answer all her patients’ questions. Patients trust her to take care of their oral health as well as she would take care of her own family.
I have been married to Marc, whom I met in my college days working at Disneyland, for 23 years. We have two daughters, Brittany (17) and Meghan (15) and a son, Connor (11). In my spare time I like to take morning runs, serve on the choir board of Oxford Academy, and play with my Doberman, Dino.
I believe in patient-centered hygiene. I am passionate about placing my patients’ needs first and approaching treatment with compassion. I look forward to meeting you in my chair!
